This post is in honor of Earth Day.
I’m not a crafty recycler. I can’t turn household recyclable waste into beauiful children’s object d’art like on The Crafty Crow.
What I can do is repurpose them for science purposes:
My favorite uses:
Starbucks Frappacino glass bottles into a water xylophone
Glass pickle jars into beakers
“Bath salt” or spice test tubes and holder into…well, test tubes…for observing root growth:
Film canisters into sound boxes
Toiletry bottles into scent bottles (see above link).
Pop/water bottles into Discovery Bottles
Plastic food containers into toadlet feeding stations (well, that was the plan anyway) or bug boxes (with holes poked in it for breathing).
