Sandhill Crane Migration

We witnessed a sandhill crane migration this morning.  These birds flew rather crazy, kind of in a circular pattern and I don’t know why.  It  seems a very inefficient way of getting from point A to point B.  They made a loud cooing call, which was crazy too.
